Jesus sent out the 12 disciples to change the world - which they did! As disciples of Jesus we want to do the same. We are missionary people and want our lives to be orientated around people who do not yet know the love of Jesus. We go because Jesus came. We've learnt not to go it alone but to go together.
Missional Communities are our way of trying to do this! Missional Communities are smaller gatherings of people that meet regularly to pray and act to see transformation in a particular area or people group. In many ways, these groups form the primary place of belonging and discipleship for most people that are part of St Philip's church.
Each Missional Community has its own pattern and rhythm of meeting and a commitment to growing in prayer & mission together. We meet across the city at various locations often in homes. Each community is gathered together around a shared sense of mission and purpose for transformation in this city.
Everyone is welcome to be a part of what God is doing in and through these groups.
